The computer – a 1976 Apple I, one of just 200 or so machines hand-built by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak – will be up for auction in London on Nov 23.

According to its auction listing, the Apple I was shipped from Steve Jobs’ family garage, where the current Apple chief executive and his former colleague built and tested machines. It will be sold complete with its original packaging and manuals, along with a letter from Jobs himself.

The Apple I – numbered 82 in the batch – boasts eight kilobytes of memory and an eight-bit processor.
